Sarah’s first crime novel CHINA WHITE, a finalist in the 2018 HarperCollins-UBC Best New Fiction Prize, was published as an Audible Original (2021), available in both French and English. The sequel BORN WINNERS was published in May 2023.
Her third novel THE WORST OF YOU, a standalone thriller set off the West Coast about a road rage incident that culminates in a murder on a ferry, was released as an Audible Original in May 2024.
SMASH HIT (July 2025), Sarah’s fourth Audible Original, follows a fledgling author who lands a lucrative opportunity to ghostwrite the memoir of a sex trafficking victim only to face both a moral dilemma and possible danger when her subject is murdered.
Sarah’s short stories, reviews, and interviews have appeared in carte blanche, prism international, The Puritan, Rusty Toque, Room Magazine,The Cardiff Review, The Danforth Review, Eclectica, Fox Adoption, and UNBUILD walls, and she has published non-fiction work with Lonely Planet and BBC.com, among others.
Sarah has a BA from McGill University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia (2017). After two decades of living elsewhere — New York City, Montreal, Toronto, Osaka, Tokyo, and London, UK — she has returned home to British Columbia, where she teaches writing at Langara College in Vancouver.
